Notary did not sign the Stormy Daniels Nondisclosure agreement and it affects its legal validity: Report
Dallas Morning Post has reported that the notary did not sign or date the nondisclosure agreement of Trump’s lawyer with adult film star Stormy Daniels. Texas officials started investigation into the matter and according to the law, Texas notaries must sign and date agreements also provide a verification certificate to those who are signing the agreement.
Notary Erica Jackson is currently facing an investigation after she failed to sign the document, verify it and provide a certificate for the 2016 agreement regarding Stormy’s affair with Donald Trump, But it is reported that, Erica Jackson’s stamp is on the document.
Texas official said in a letter to Jackson last week, “Attaching your seal to a document without a notarial certificate constitutes good cause for the secretary of state to take action against your notary commission,” Morning News has reported that Jackson claimed that she did not recall the specific agreement. The Morning News also could not reach Daniels’s attorney for comment.
Trump is in legal trouble after his lawyer’s hush money payment of $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Wall Street Journal was first reported about the payment, Trump’s lawyer made the payment just a month before the 2016 presidential election. Those days Trump had been facing a series of women related allegations, which include the infamouse “Access Hollywood” tape, in which Trump can be heard boasting of grabbing women by the genitalia!
Spokesman for Texas secretary of State said that the office was solely investigating “whether or not the individual complies with his or her duties as a notary public in the state of Texas.’’ It’s unclear if Jackson’s missing signature or lack of certificate would impact the agreement.
Stormy filed a lawsuit agianst Trump, claiming that the agreement she signed to no discuss their affair is void because Donald dd not sign the document.
